Dua for Laylatul Qadr 2011

As Ramadhaan comes to an end and the last days have approached, we look for the night of Laylatul Qadr. This is a VERY auspicious night as the Quraan was revealed on this night and the reward according to Hadeeth is equal to that of approximately 83years.

The last 10 odd nights for 2011 are:

  • 21st (Saturday 20 August 2011)
  • 23rd (Monday 22 August 2011)
  • 25th (Wednesday 24 August 2011)
  • 27th (Friday 26 August 2011)
  • 29th (Sunday 28 August 2011)
  • Hazrat Aisha (RA) reports that Nabi Mohammad (SAW) said : “Search for the Night of Power on the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadhaan.” (Bukhari)

Hazrat Aisha (RA) also once asked Nabi (SAW): “If I find Laylatul Qadr (The Night of Power), what du’a should I recite?” Rasooloollah (SAW) replied.:

    Dua for Laylatul Qadr

Hazrat Anas (RA) said: “When Laylatul Qadr occurs, Jibraeel descends with a large group of angel onto the earth, who make D’ua-I-Rahmah (Mercy) for those men and women engaged in Salaah, Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah), etc” (Mazhari).

Insha’Allah, lets dedicate these last few days in Ibaadah, more salaah, increased Quraan reading and most of all remembrance of Allah throughout the day.

Aaisha, (radhiyallahu anha), related that the Rasoolullah (Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam) said: “Look for Laylatul Qadr on an odd-numbered night during the last ten nights of Ramadhaan.” (Bukhari, Vol 3, Book 32).

We should keep ourselves busy with Qur’aan recitation, seeking Allah’s forgiveness, Nafl salaah, rememberance of Allah and Salawaat.
