When is Eid 2012 /1433 AH?

We are fasting our last sawm (fast) for Ramadaan 1433 AH today, 29 Ramadaan 1433 / 18 August 2012 here in South Africa (SA). According to our ‘Ulama, the 1st of Shawwaal will be tomorrow InshaaAllah here in South Africa.
The month of Ramadaan started in Saudi Arabia (KSA) and several other Muslim countries in the Middle East on 20 July 2012. Saturday, is the last day of the fasting month of Ramadaan For KSA as well.
It said the highest court of the land deemed a complementary day was necessary due to the lack of evidence of sighting of the new moon on Friday night. As such, the first day of Eid-ul Fitr is 19 August 2012 / 01 Shawwaal 1433 AH. [http://www.arabnews.com]

On Friday, 17 August 2012, it can not be seen anywhere in the populated world by naked eye, binoculars, or even high powered telescope.
On Saturday, August 18, 2012, it can be easily seen in Southern Africa, Central and South Americas.
On 19 August 2012, it can be seen in rest of the whole world.

On Thursday, 16 August 2012, in Calicut, India, at Fajr time many saw “Urjoonil Qadeem”, the last visible phase of moon of this Ramadaan in the East. It was very thin and the horns were at 4-8 position and it appeared nearly 4° above the horizon at 05:00 hrs.
The shape and its stage confirmed that it will not be seen tomorrow on Friday, August 17, neither at Fajr in the East nor after sunset in the West. It is the Day of Astronomical New Moon or Conjunction (Mahaq). moonsighting.com
