It is the day on which the religion was perfected and Allah's Favour was completed. In Al-Saheehayn it was reported from Umar ibn al-Khattaab (radhiyallahu anhu) that a Jewish man said to him, 'O Ameer al-Mu'mineen, there is an aayah in your Book which you recite; if it had come to us Jews, we would have taken that day as an Eid (festival).' Three types of Hajj

Hajj can be performed in three different ways: Tamattu', Qiran, and Ifraad. 1) Tamattu' means performing 'Umrah during the Hajj season, and on the Day of Tarwiyah the pilgrim gets into the state of Ihram for Hajj. Anyone intending to perform a Tamattu' Hajj should make intention for 'Umrah when approaching the Miqaat. The intention here should be for 'Umrah. The pilgrim should say,
