South African muslims make itikaaf in Aqsa

All praise and thanks be to Allah and may His peace and blessings be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad(Sallallahu Alayhi wa Sallam). Insha’allah on the 15th of August Muslim brothers from South Africa are planning to visit Masjid al-Aqsa with the intention of sitting for I’tikaaf. Brothers from all over the world are encouraged to join them. These brothers are not an organisation but merely a group of friends from South Africa promoting the revival of visiting al-Aqsa. Ramadhaan is a vibrant month and al-Aqsa is buzzing. “We are appealing to all out there to join us as al-Aqsa is awaiting you”, says Zaheer Saley. A website has been setup so as to make your task easier. Please visit www.aqsa.co.za for more information.

Alhamdulillah Ramadaan is yet approaching . I have spent I ' tikaaf in a local musjid and I can imagine the elation one could experience being in the third Haram which has its roots and significance intertwined in the moral fibre in this Deen of ours .Insha Allah I look forward to spending time in this musjid .

As Salaamu Alaykum Yes indeed Brother Naaim. I'tikaaf is a beautiful thing. A one-on-one with Allah. I am looking for someone who can give us details on whether or not there will be some brothers going to al-Aqsaa this year but sadly no one has come back to us.

I am ready for the Itikaaf in Masjidul Aqsa 2012 (Insha Alaah). Kindly give full information who to contact. Jazaakalaah for your assistance. Definitely you will be Rewarded.

As Salaamu Alaykum M. E Arbee I hope some one out there will be kind enough to give us some info should i'tikaaf be taking place this year in al Aqsa InshaaAllah.

This is so encouraging. I hope (Insha Allah) to sit for I'tikaaf this year at our local masjid. These are just 10 days that could change your life forever - for the better.

As Salaamu Alaykum Aah this brings so much wonderful and tearful memories to my eyes... Last year on the night of Mi'raaj we were in Khaleeli Masjid. My heart yearns to be there again. May Allah accept all the brothers sitting for I'tikaaf and take us back to our beloved 'Aqsa!
