Question:
Is it permissibleto go to an Aamil (one who has contact with Jinn’s and prescribes Ta’weez) and for them to read and then tell you if someone is a good person or bad person?
Answer:
One should first resort to sincere Taubah, Dua and Salaah when faced with any difficulty. If one is affected with Sihr (black magic) or Nazr, one should resort to the cures and remedies mentioned in the Qur’an and Hadith before going to any Aamil. It is discouraged to go to such people if there is no dire need. Furthermore, to judge people and say that they are bad requires concrete proof. It is not permissible to base judgments of people on the information provided by Jinn’s and other doubtful sources.
